Our annual industry panel day is an opportunity to meet a range of creative industry speakers, exploring how careers in various media sectors work
Panel members draw upon their own experience and insights to provide vital information to help you prepare to launch your own career in this fast moving sector. Following the panel session, you'll also have the chance for a portfolio review with one or two of the panel members.
This year's industry panel took place on Monday 16 March 2021 via Zoom. The day included a panel discussion and audience Q&A chaired by Hannah Wood and Amanda Bluglass, plus portfolio surgeries in break out rooms.
Barry Christie is the global creative lead for Facebook’s largest advertising clients. He also spent 20 years working at boutique digital agencies and some of the world's largest advertising agencies as a designer. Barry started his creative journey at the Â鶹´«Ã½, graduating in media arts a little longer ago than he would like to admit.
Sue Kenderdine is Head of Talent at Twofour, responsible for off–screen editorial talent, building and developing relationships with all levels of production staff from entry level to Executive Producers. With over 20 years of experience in television, Sue joined Twofour in 2006 having spent six years at Lion Television.
Rachael Horn is a Freelance Producer specialising in Broadcasting Media and Sponsored content. Previously, she’s worked at and produced digital content for; KING, SUPERCELL, Cartoon Network, The Discovery Channel, TLC and The History Channel. Rachael is also a Â鶹´«Ã½ media arts graduate.Alice Kilpatrick is Co-Head of Film at The Moment and TCEG. Her industry recognition includes an EVCOM/IVCA, a Learning on Screen award, an RTS, a British Medical Award and a New York Festival TV and Film award.
Simon Walton is Creative Director at Silverstream TV, responsible for the editorial side of their work and finding new ways to use video on the internet for virtual and hybrid live event production, video streaming and social media. Simon is a BBC trained broadcast journalist, producer and director. Silverstream TV regularly employs Media Arts graduates.
Ana Lui is a Mallorca and Ibiza based lifestyle and travel photographer who has spent over a decade shooting commissioned work for Condé Nast Traveller UK and US, international interior magazines and design hotels, visiting some of the most breathtaking destinations. She also practices quantum healing and mindfulness for business. Ana is also a Â鶹´«Ã½ media arts graduate.
Alongside creative media production you will develop the critical and collaborative skills required to succeed in this rapidly evolving sector. Media platforms are content hungry and our students produce content to an award-winning standard. Creative media brings together a range of emerging and established media practices in recognition that in contemporary culture they have well and truly converged. The course offers a unique opportunity to creatively explore multiple media and the exciting range of contexts they sit within; from the internet and mobile devices, immersive installations and video-mapping to more established forms of documentary and drama.
