University’s new partnership to offer breadth of programmes in Egypt

The �鶹��ý and Delta University for Science and Technology have established a new partnership that will strengthen academic ties between the UK and Egypt.

Following fruitful discussions and visits, the higher education institutions have committed to delivering undergraduate programmes in Egypt covering areas health science, engineering, AI and business that will start running from September 2025.

Delta University for Science and Technology in Mansoura is one of the entities of Delta Educational Group, and the first private university in the Egyptian Delta and Lower Egypt. It currently has 23,500 students at undergraduate and postgraduate levels across 23 programs in 13 faculties, with an annual intake of 8,000 students.

We are grateful for the opportunity to partner with Delta University in reaching this important milestone.

Egypt is an exciting new market for our global activity where we can develop equitable and capacity-strengthening strong partnerships for the benefit of students, staff and society. This first phase of our collaboration signifies a long-term commitment to explore further possibilities and expand on programme areas for delivery aligned with Egypt’s Vision 2030.

Dr Mohamed Rabie Nassar, Chairman of Delta University’s Board of Trustees, says:

“This collaboration reflects the Ministry’s directives to introduce modern multidisciplinary programs and foster international partnerships as a cornerstone of the National Strategy for Higher Education, launched in March 2023.”

Professor Dr Yehia El-Mashad, President of Delta University for Science and Technology, adds:

“Our partnership with the �鶹��ý is a key pillar in the university’s strategy to advance higher education. This collaboration enhances students’ opportunities to learn in a developed academic environment that allows Delta University students to obtain internationally accredited degrees and practical training in leading medical and educational institutions.”

Both universities are committed to strengthening and increasing higher education capacity in the Nile Delta region of Egypt and will work together on a long-term partnership that will extend into further areas of delivery and partnership models.
