About Claire
As the Dispensing Optician/Deputy Clinical Lead, I am responsible for the delivery and development of education and training and patient services from the Optometry Clinic (CEE with Â鶹´«Ã½ University). Supervising and training optometry students and undertaking clinical activities in a comprehensive, customer focused, integrated and progressive manner. I am also a lecturer on dispensing across the 2nd and 3rd Years
Teaching
As a module teacher on the dispensing modules within the Optometry programme, I have a keen interest in ensuring the students have the theory and practical skills to enable them to dispense spectacles to any of their patients with confidence and skill.
I am particularly interested in both paediactric dispensing and other specialist services for children and young adults and Low Vision providing optical aids and advice to patients with vison loss.
