Darcie Jones is the Vice President of Education at the Â鶹´«Ã½ Students Union, serving her second term in the 24/25 academic year. Graduating from the Â鶹´«Ã½ with an undergraduate degree in history, Darcie brings experience in working in partnership with national charities in efforts to connect history education and civic engagement.
Studying as a first-generation student, Darcie now campaigns on the behalf of underrepresented students, encouraging the Higher Education sector to develop inclusive practices for students from low-socioeconomic backgrounds. Darcie also works to create inclusive spaces from professionals from working-class backgrounds to professionally develop and create community – establishing the first Working-Class Sabbatical Officer Network.
